Our Teaching & Tutoring volunteer program is the heart of Sayam Foundation. Volunteers work directly with children in schools and community centers, providing academic support, homework help, and subject-specific tutoring. This role is ideal for students, teachers, and anyone passionate about education.
You don't need to be a certified teacher to make a difference. Many of our most effective volunteers are college students who dedicate just 2-3 hours per week to help children with basic reading, writing, and math skills. The impact of consistent, caring attention on a child's academic performance and confidence is truly remarkable.
Teaching volunteers also lead extracurricular activities like art, music, sports, and life skills sessions. These activities help children develop creativity, teamwork, and confidence — essential qualities for their overall development and future success.
