From our founders who started with 47 children in East Delhi to our growing network of 300+ volunteers across 15 states, every member of the Sayam family plays a vital role in our mission. We are proud of the diversity, dedication, and heart that defines our team.

Founding Team
Rajesh Kumar
Co-Founder & Executive Director
With over 12 years in social work and education policy, Rajesh left a corporate career to serve full-time at Sayam. He holds an MBA from IIM Delhi and a deep passion for equitable education access for all children in India.
Priya Sharma
Co-Founder & Director, Programs
A former teacher and education researcher, Priya designed Sayam Foundation's book distribution model and oversees all field programs. She holds a Master's in Education from Delhi University and has worked with UNICEF on child literacy programs.
Amit Verma
Co-Founder & Director, Finance & Operations
Amit brings 10+ years of financial management and NGO operations experience. A chartered accountant by training, he ensures complete transparency in Sayam Foundation's finances and manages corporate donor partnerships and CSR programs.

Manages school partnerships across South India. Former Teach for India fellow with 8 years experience in primary education and curriculum development.

Field Operations Coordinator
Leads book distribution drives across North India. Coordinates with 100+ schools and manages the volunteer network in UP, Bihar, and Rajasthan.

Health & Nutrition Lead
A public health professional who manages health camps, nutrition programs, and hygiene awareness drives for children and communities across 10 states.

Digital Marketing & Outreach
Manages Sayam Foundation's online presence, donor engagement, and digital campaigns. B.Com graduate with expertise in nonprofit marketing and social media strategy.

Senior social worker with 25 years of field experience across rural India. Former UNICEF consultant specializing in community-driven development models and women's empowerment.

Financial Governance Advisor
Retired IAS officer and former Finance Secretary. Brings decades of public finance and governance experience ensuring Sayam Foundation maintains the highest standards of financial integrity.
Our Volunteer Network
The backbone of Sayam Foundation is our incredible network of 300+ volunteers spread across 15 states in India. These dedicated individuals come from all walks of life — students, professionals, retirees, and homemakers — united by a shared passion for education and child welfare.
Our volunteers do far more than distribute books. They identify schools in need, conduct needs assessments, coordinate distribution drives, mentor children, organize health camps, and serve as the vital link between Sayam Foundation and the communities we serve.
Each state has a dedicated coordinator who manages the volunteer team, liaises with local authorities, and ensures that our programs reach the most underserved areas. We provide regular training, resources, and support to our volunteers, recognizing that their dedication is what makes our mission possible.
